Cristin took us out to Germantown for a fabulous Amish breakfast where she and Alison used to go regularly. She also bought us some chocolate covered bacon to try later which was very good. Fully sated we caught the metro into DC to see the sights. Watched a short but very good video at the Capital building, on how the pursuit of liberty led to the creation of the United States, before doing a tour of the building.
I was stunned by the beauty of the inside of the Library of Congress. Enjoyed the tour of the Supreme Court before standing outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to get a photo of that iconic building.

Did you go around Dupont Circle. Sydney Ellen Wade knows there as well. Yes I saw the movie too !!! Great photos. We didn’t go into any of those buildings. So much to do in DC and not enough time !!!!
