Today Brandon drove us to church on the normal way but it was so beautiful because the autumn colours here are lovely and the houses are so spaced out that it is hard to believe DC is so close. Cristin had to go early as they meet in a school and there is a lot of setting up. She is the children’s and young adults’ minister. This is a church plant so the numbers are small so far, about 30 today, but all very friendly and interesting. We met a 60 year old lady who was brought up in the Phillipines and married a GI and came here and became a plumber. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and set up coffee shop style. We enjoyed the sermon about having fun and balance in your life and that comes best when you are connected to Jesus and your community. David, the minister, had a very easy to listen to style.
Glenn enjoyed seeing Australia win the rugby union. Then he and Brandon had a good afternoon watching football with Brandon able to answer all Glenn’s questions. Cristin and I went for a delightful walk near her place. We had a great evening sharing stories.
Looks like you had a lovely time together. Such a pretty place too. Glad to see Cristin and Brandon looking so well and happy.
