Seeing Red

Today was fabulous. We drove along some scenic byways and continually exclaimed at the beautiful colours we were seeing. We also found some covered bridges and waterfalls. Lunch ended up being Ben and Jerry’s ice-cream as they had nothing else and the Rock of Ages didn’t do hot dogs today as the weather was too cold! We didn’t understand this reasoning. We had to rush from Ben and Jerry’s to make the quarry tour at the Rock of Ages. It was fascinating to find out about getting the granite from the quarry and what they do with it. To top off a great day we were checking out another covered bridge in a little place called Bath and something was happening in the church nearby. When I asked I was told the fire fighters were having a fundraising turkey supper so we went and had a great dinner as well as meeting some interesting people.
